2-Day Budget Safari Dar Es Salaam to Selous (Nyerere NP), In this tour you will travel from Dar es Salaam to Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park) by a Safari car. You’ll be taken by car with our professional driver to Nyerere NP. Nyerere National Park is the new largest national park in Africa Established in 2019, it covers over 30,000 square kilometers of relatively undisturbed ecological and biological processes including a diverse range of wildlife and Rufiji River.
You will be taken from Dar es Salaam in the morning, where our professional driver will drive you to Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park) via the shorter route through Kisarawe, taking about 4-5 hours to reach the destination. On arrival at Nyerere National Park, you will be taken to your lodge for relaxation. Later in the afternoon, at around 4:00 PM, you will embark on a thrilling boat safari along the Rufiji River until sunset. During the boat safari, you will have the chance to enjoy close-up views of aquatic wildlife, including crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of bird species, while soaking in the serene beauty of the sunset over the water. Your second day begins with an early start. At 6:30 AM, you will set off on a thrilling full-day game drive through Nyerere National Park. The drive will take you across diverse landscapes, including wetlands, dry grasslands, and light acacia forests. You'll have opportunities to spot a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and various bird species. At around 2:00 to 2:30 PM, your safari adventure concludes, and you will head back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the evening.
